Dandelion Unit 28...Lot 59. This home away from home is located a stone's throw from the spectacular sights and sounds of the roaring ocean, Walk On Beach, the largest beach in Sea Ranch.
This spacious three-bedroom, two bathroom, well designed, fully equipped and furnished house provides the setting for a perfect family or group of friends' get together for a fun, relaxing and memorable vacation.
The living room has large and comfortable corner window seating, a rustic fireplace and the master bedroom steps out to the jacuzzi on the deck.

You can enjoy a quiet moment, reading in the loft area overlooking the white-water waves or have a raving cookout with friends dining on the large wrap around deck area. Sipping on a glass of wine, soaking in the hot tub below the cold starry night before retiring in the comfortable bed to top off a day of hiking and exploration. One small dog welcome, 30 lbs or under.

  We have stayed in over 20 Sea Ranch houses and this is one of the top two or three. We liked just about everything about the place and the location. Everything worked well, including the blinds and heating. Much of the kitchen seems to be recently renewed; one thing we liked is the lack of the utensil clutter we often find in SR houses. The decor was to our taste and there is no clutter anyplace. Up the steep stairs there is a twin-bedded room and a TV or game area for kids, plus washer and dryer, but no bathroom. Downstairs, the master and guest bedrooms are nice and have identical good bathrooms. One thing maybe not shown in the photos is the excellent large deck which wraps around two side of the house.

  We loved the location being so close to trails and Walk On beach. We were mostly comfortable lounging around in the evenings and the kitchen was well equipped, heaters worked well (it was cold at night!) and plenty of hot water for showers for 5. The house itself is a little tired though. Furniture covers worn and stained, carpet in bedrooms stained, nasty black mold in master shower. Quite a few window locks are broken. Window covers don't keep the sun out - need more of a blackout curtain than the thin shades.

  We enjoyed our stay at Dandelion. The views were incredible. The furniture was to our liking and the kitchen was just right for the 3 of us. Hot tub perfect! Glad there was a rice cooker and the perfect vase for flowers! I brought all the right kitchen items this time since we were expecting rainy days and fortunately it only rained at night which made the air so fresh for our morning walks down to the bluffs.
  I loved the 360 degree views from the upstairs which I used for my little art studio watercolors. Just a few things for maintenance: 1. the curtain blinds in the downstairs bedroom windows were difficult to open particularly the bedroom facing south 2. there seemed to be slight ceiling damage(?leak) in the north bedroom - I noticed while lying in bed 3. a screen in the upstairs loft South side needs repair.Just minor things.
  Overall, we would LOVE to come back this Spring 2022! Thank you for sharing your retreat with us...

  This is a very open and airy home with partial views of the ocean. You can sit on the deck and whale watch is what we did a lot. The trail to the bluffs were never ending. You can stand at various areas along the bluffs and view seals sunning on the rocks down below. Lots of deer in the area, and some wildflowers are still in bloom.   We used to own this house so we are prejudiced. It has a fantastic location and floor plan. The new owners have decorated it and furnished it well. They have replaced the stove and microwave. My only wish is that they get the new fiber-optic internet Sea Ranch Connect, because currently they have a limited data plan. We were planning on streaming some programs, but did not because of concern of exceeding data package. No light in the hall way. Called rental agency, and they sent a man right away. Just turned out that the bulb needed screwing in. Garage door opener failed while we were there, but fortunately car was not in garage at time.

  We stayed here for a week. It rained the whole time but we still had a wonderful vacation. The location of Dandelion is so perfect. The management company was really great and tried to call and email us to warn us of poor road condition. My only complaint would be that the kitchen really needs an update. It was very hard to cook meals with the outdated stove and microwave.

  Wonderful place - had an incredible stay. House very well equipped. However it does need a new stove and microwave and the dining room chair legs are "stub the toe" killers. Otherwise we all loved the place, the setting, the weather etc etc.

  This is a great house roomy and perfectly located in a beautiful area. Well stocked and very comfortable. The views from the many windows are breathtaking. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. A three minute walk and you are on the beach. My only criticism/complaint is that the kitchen stove needs replacing. It blew a fuse twice and only two of the four burners were functional. I would love an opportunity to stay in this home again. We enjoyed the hot tub and a few of us went to the recreation center to take advantage of the pool and sauna as well. The rental company was friendly, professional, responsive and really nice to work with. Overall we had a fabulous time and all agreed that this was a perfect house for our stay.

  Three friends stayed at Dandelion House for a week, sharing a silent meditation practice, cooking for each other, and going for long walks and swims at Del Mar Rec Center. The house was perfect for our purpose. One of the three of us was worried it was too pricey, but by day three thought it was perfect. Kitchen was very well stocked; no problems with oven or burnets, tho i is an old, possibly original range. There was no grill. No tea pot. The upstairs twin bedroom is the worst part -- all Sea Ranch houses have some weird architectural oddity -- its only useable closet holds the washer/dryer and hot water heater (which is noisy) and there isn't a bathroom. Walking down the steep (!) flight of stairs in the night is not that much fun. But! Otherwise -- the living area with its view, its fireplace, and its very comfortable furnishings was really perfect. And all the beds and linens were comfortable and high quality. Thankyou.

  This was an absolute awesome house and a great location, it is your stereotypical old school rustic ocean front home. Just a few steps from the beach, and most importantly on a private lot. One of the great features is the wrap around deck, making the sunsets something to behold. Great Stay!!

  We had a glorious time at Dandelion. The house was clean, well-equipped and in a wonderful location. The views were fantastic. The only small issue was with the very old range which had several non-working burners and a very small oven. We easily made due, but our stay would have been perfect without this issue. We will definitely be back.

  This rental is situated within easy walking distance to the ocean. I can still hear the roar of the ocean in my ears. It has a spectacular view of the sea, the sunset, and from the deck on a clear night the stars almost seem within reach. The home was very well equipped, and included things I didn't expect/didn't need to bring such as foil, matches, coffee filters, flashlights, food wrap, sugar, and more! The home feels secluded, yet near enough to neighbors that at night you can see their reassuring home lights from a distance.
