Amenities include Wi-Fi, a baby grand piano, stereo, DVD. Dogs are welcome. Due to safety issues, homeowner suggests guests aged 18 and older occupy this rental home.

Located within easy walking distance to the bluffs, Pebble Beach, Black Point Beach and the Moonraker pool and tennis court. A mile to the Lodge and Post Office.

  The home was lovely and just the right size for my girlfriend and I. There is only one bed and I discovered the sofa bed as listed was unavailable. The agency was generous enough to provide an air mattress instead, but I chose to bring my own to sleep in the loft.

  Walking was great to Pebble Beach and close enough for us to walk to the Lodge for dinner.

Only word of warning: the kitchen and bathroom counters are very high, must have been designed by a giant! Anyone shorter than my 5'4" would have a hard time with these.

  We absolutely loved this stay, and nearly everything about the property. It is clean, perfectly sized, and perfectly-sited. I'd love to give 5 stars across the board, but there is room for improvement: the are zero living amenities. No laundry detergent; no hand soap in the kitchen; no kitchen staples like olive oil or spices. Oddly, one of the sliding glass doors is bolted shut. We brought towels and linens as directed, but the property had them already. If it were just a bit more liveable, this would be an excellent repeat-visit place, because it is superbly comfortable, pleasant and lovely.

  There are houses where you feel at home the minute you walk through the door, and this is one of them. From most every room, there is a lovely meadow view with the ocean in the distance (which can also be enjoyed from Adirondack chairs situated just outside the sliding glass door). Deer would often graze nearby (fun doggie TV). There are also 2 chairs and a side table in a small fenced yard planted with roses, geraniums, hydrangeas, succulents and more. This was a perfect area to give my dogs a chance to romp off leash or laze in the sun. It was only a 5-10 minute walk to the bluff trail for beautiful ocean views and other trails through the meadow were close too.. The house itself was clean and bright. The LR had a comfortable sofa, recliner chair and window seat, plus fireplace and piano. Lots of books, music CDs and a pair of binoculars. The kitchen had everything I needed to prepare meals, including cook books. The gas stove/oven and dishwasher were newer and worked perfectly. The frig/ freezer had an ice maker. Tucked in the pantry were many small appliances beyond the usual coffee maker and toaster. There were plenty of bowls, silverware, pots & pans, dishes, glassware, utensils, etc. Salt and pepper were provided; be sure to bring any other seasonings or condiments that you may need. Note that the counter height is higher than typical, but at my average height, I had no problem. The dining area had a round table with more seating at the breakfast bar. A washer and dryer was located in the hall-very convenient. The bathroom was roomy and modern with a door-free shower and lots of storage. The bed was comfortable and on the softer side, extra blankets and pillows were provided. Lots of storage in closet, dresser and side tables. The upstairs loft has TV with Roku, sofa, ottoman and 1/2 bath. Very comfortable TV room, good Wi-Fi too. Loved this place, can’t wait to visit again!

  Sea Gate was just okay, but could be excellent with just a few changes.
  
  1) The kitchen needs a serious upgrade. Fridge, range, and sink are all very old and need replacing -- the range is actually a hazard. The cooking equipment (pots, pans, etc.) are bare bones and super cheap. ONE pot-holder??? Plates, cups, etc are all fine though.
  
  2) Washer and dryer -- great! But no detergent???
  
  3) The piano is actually pretty nice -- a Knabe. Plays and sounds good. But the lyre is falling off and needs to be re-attached; I had to prop it up with a book.
  
  4) I LOVE Beach Rentals and recommend them highly. Small, local, professional. They've been extremely helpful and seem interested in feedback.

  This house is on a very private lot just a short walk to the ocean. In fact there is no house between this one and the ocean so there is a great open view. At night you can lie in bed and look out at the stars while listening to the sounds of the ocean.   Sea Gate is our favorite Sea Ranch rental because it is well located at the south end with convenient access to the bluff trail. We love that the furnishings are stylish and well cared for and that it is dog friendly with a pleasant fenced garden. The latter is a perfect place for sunny breakfasts and lunches on the wind protected side of the house. The hose bib by the front door is convenient to keep beach dog paws clean. The tile floors, area rugs and central vacuum system make it easy to do a quick housecleaning regularly during our recent two month stay. The kitchen is very well appointed, the downstairs bath has a luxurious shower and the downstairs bedroom new queen bed is very comfortable. The sunny window seat looking out at the meadow and ocean horizon is a relaxing power spot and my husband’s favorite aspect of the house along with the grand piano for an end of the day sit at the keys. The wood burning fireplace added atmosphere on foggy days, but converting the FP to gas would add to the convenience and efficiency as well as clean air.
  The only things I would recommend is that all the light bulbs be replaced with LEDs (warm light not the white light) for better energy efficiency and that the refrigerator (it is an older model) be replaced with an energy star bottom freezer for energy use, convenient access for food storage and quieter.

The house is a perfect size for two adults with excellent WiFi and complementary NetFlix and Hulu. The television is upstairs. Downstairs entertainment is provided by a large fireplace and ample outdoor views. The kitchen is well equipped and the bedroom is very comfortable with a roomy closet and chest of drawers. The downstairs bath has a great bathroom with a beautiful shower area. We liked it a lot and were very comfortable.

  Sea Gate enhanced our month long north coast experience. We started the day with breakfast in the sheltered side patio on sunny mornings before the day's adventures on the trails and beaches. The window seat called to us late in the afternoon to relax while savoring the meadow view and dinner was a time to cook slow food while listening to David's piano recital. The house was furnished in casual inviting harmony and our Siberian husky Gem loved the fenced yard to lounge and watch the natural world around her after her day on the trail. Sea Gate had the cozy clean functional comforts with an airy feel and just enough glass for light and fresh breezes that made it feel like our home away from home. The covered entry was a convenient portal to leave shoes and clean dog paws and the and central vacuum made it easy to clean and were only a few things that could be improved to make it the perfect vacation rental.

  This is a beautiful home. Walls filled with very interesting paintings. Large windows with seating to relax and enjoy the view of the blue water ocean (sometimes white water if windy enough). Our little Pom/Poodle loved the fenced in yard. We cracked the door and he could come and go as he pleased.   We had a very good time. The unit is well laid out, it was clean and well maintained and we had a nice view of the ocean. We definitely would return to it. The only negative comment that we have is 1) there is only one chair in the living room area (the rest are couches) and 2) the lighting in the living room area is not conducive to reading (although reading can be done).

  Lovely home, very private and quiet. We come up to Sea Ranch every year to escape fireworks in our community, and were grateful for the peacefulness. The home is lovely, only request would be for a gas grill and some additional cooking utensils (i.e. spatulas, serving spoons) but otherwise we enjoyed our visit very much.

  A perfect stay in a lovely home. Gorgeous view down the meadow to the ocean. Other houses only barely in sight. Lucky to be there when wild irises and california poppies are filling the meadows. The only thing I could ask for would be shorter kitchen counters! ( - : (The owners are obviously tall people!) And thank heavens the tv is upstairs in the loft out of sight - please don't move it downstairs! Will be back this fall - have found my Sea Ranch home away from home.

  From making the reservation to checking in then out, Beach Rentals helped make this vacation a most enjoyable one. It is hard to find pet friendly homes to stay in. Sea Gate met our 7 year old lab's needs ( and ours) perfectly. From the enclosed area for her safety and dog friendly interior not to mention easy access to miles of walking trails, Sea Gate felt like home away from home ( without the stresses of our daily lives).

  Sea Gate proved to be the perfect home base for us. Our intention was to walk and wind down, which we accomplished. The house was cozy and comfortably furnished. We loved it that the TV was upstairs in the loft. We then ate our dinners accompanied by
  music and a lively fire - something we rarely do at home. Sea Gate was perfectly located. About a five minute walk to the bluff trails and about a five minute drive to Two Fish Bakery. We felt very welcomed and loved the Welcome Package and basket full of toys available for our dog. We would love to return for a week next time - our three days were wonderful, and we could have stayed longer.

  Sea Gate is a sweet home with a generous blue water view across common meadow. It is a wonderfully cozy cottage to curl up with your dog and your favorite book and watch the deer graze just outside the windows. The only negative is the lack of a direct path to the ocean from the back yard due to wet terrain and the owner does not allow use of the garage.

  A very nice house: great location with lots of privacy and close proximity to several beaches, very well maintained, dog and music friendly, and it has a grand piano! We had a very relaxing time and saw several beautiful sunsets right from the house. Our dog loved the fenced yard. We hope to stay at the house again when we go to Sea Ranch next time.
