Nowell

Unit 34C Lot 12; TOT ID# 1630. Nowell house is a three bedroom three-and-a-half-bathroom ocean meadow home with lovely blue water ocean views looking across the meadow from inside and outside from the west deck. However, the east entry courtyard with hot tub is a garden delight too.

Once inside the living spaces are all on the entry level and open to one another. So entertaining is easy while preparing a meal in the well stocked kitchen with comfortable dining for 8. A wood burning fireplace in the living room adds to the ambiance when the sun has set, and stories are being shared. For the movie watcher the owner provides Netflix or Hulu Live apps and Wifi throughout the house.

The half bath and primary bedroom with ensuite bath is located on the entry level, with the other 2 bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms upstairs.

Solar and Tesla battery back up in case of power outages.
Bed linens and towels are not provided with this rental, bring your own or rent them from Beach Rentals.
No pets are allowed in the home.

SEA RANCH AND SONOMA COUNTY GUIDELINES
Drones are strictly prohibited in The Sea Ranch.
Quiet hours must be observed between 9pm and 7am every day.
No outdoor amplified sound is allowed at any time day or night.
Maximum number of vehicles at house shall be 3 (three), with a 2-car garage available. No RV's.
Maximum occupancy is 6 for this home.
Due to safety issues, homeowner suggests guests aged 12 and older occupy this home rental.

  WE had 5 glorious days at the Nowell house! The house was shared comfortably by 6 people. We love the location with a sweeping ocean view from the LR and bedrooms.   Nowell house is an excellent vacation home, nicely situated across the meadow with wide open views of meadows, hedgerows and ocean (whale sightings!). Works well for family or group of adults. Good sea ranch location, between Del Mar rec center, golf course and walk on beach. Lovely garden courtyard with spa.   We had a fabulous time. I have been renting in Sea Ranch for the last 30 years. This is one of my new favorites. Dishwasher broke & they had John out the same day we called to fix it. The couch needs to be replaced so we just put a sheet over it. Views are amazing. Kitchen had any thing you might need to cook a gourmet meal. Beds all comfortable. Since this house accommodates 6 it would be nice to have 6 outside chairs. We will be back!

  Nowell home was spacious, clean, sun filled and had a gorgeous view. With 3 bedrooms each having their own bath everyone was happy. The master bath tub was so comfortable and had a view directly to the ocean! The living room had plenty of comfortable seating which included chairs that swiveled to face the ocean, fireplace or other guests. The home was carpeted in white which was very soft on your feet bit not practical. The dining table was quite long, good for puzzles and food. Lovely artwork and decor! Really enjoyed this home!

  Nowell home is a wonderful, beautiful home and we had a buck come in the yard the 1st night(11-15-19) and 3 does in the yard in the early morning (11-16-19). We were able to sit and see whales spouting, which was a real treat. The walking trails and beaches were wonderful and the stars were so bright and amazing. We opted to pay extra to have linens provided which is well worth it. The kitchen is well stocked with wonderful dishes/pots & pans/ and utensils of every kind. Good supply of sharp knives. Loved our stay super much and would highly recommend this house.

  This home has an unobstructed meadow view of the ocean except for the road right in front. We found dirty dishes in the cabinets, no toiletries but soap in the baths, a problematic cooktop vent and a leaking shower in one of the baths. This home is of ordinary architecture compared to other Sea Ranch homes we’ve rented. The furnishings are eclectic and a bit shop worn. The hot tub is on a shaded patio with no view of the ocean. There are many better rental alternatives.

Sometimes you could take a hot shower and at other times the water was luke warm when turned up all the way.   We were blown away! Pictures do not due this house justice. Honestly, we would have been happy with a mediocre house given the million dollar, unobstructed views. But 3 master suites, incredible beds and custom kitchen with every amenity. My only advice is bring slippers. No shoes- to which I agree, beautiful wood floors and white carpet.

  We have been coming to the Sea Ranch for years now but staying with friends; however, this holiday season we decided to do a rental with a group of friends. First of all, this house is a great location, right behind a bluff on Leeward. No obstruction in front, only a beautiful view of the ocean, with many entrances to trails. As for the house, it is a great rental. It has 3 big rooms with their bathrooms, so there is enough space for everyone. There is an open floor plan with the kitchen and common area. It is wide and spacious, you never feel like you don't have enough space. The house has great windows that allows for a lot of natural light and great views outside. Unfortunately, it was raining when we were there so we didn't get to sit outside on the deck. Next time. The property management was also very good. The coffee machine had broke when we were there and they immediately came to replace it that day. Overall, if you have a large group, this is a good house for you. Also great for kids.

  The home is larger and more well-appointed that we expected -- the photos don't do it justice. Great layout for a family with children since the master is on the main floor. Plenty of open living and dining space. We enjoyed the open meadow views and quick access to the bluff trail and Walk on Beach. The small rear garden around the hot tub is also lovely. Only drawbacks: Leeward Road is between the house and the meadow, so you see quite a bit of traffic during the day (though this was obvious from the website before we booked, so we expected it) and all of the pillows as well as the mattresses in the master and the smaller upstairs bedroom could use an upgrade. Overall a great rental.

  We arrived to Beach rentals at 4:00 pm. The staff at Beach had all our docs and keys ready to go!! Because this was my fifth time back to the Nowell house, I was familiar with the house location. Upon our arrival all was very clean and orderly. The setting of this house is undeniably one of the finest spots in Sea Ranch!! The views are magnificent! The bedrooms are lovely and well decorated. The kitchen is a joy to to work in while preparing meals and snacks. It is well appointed with many different size pots and pans, huge oven, a six burner stove and all cooking utensils easily within reach of the chef!! There is an instant hot water spout at the sink! The kitchen has a bar long enough to accommodate four people. The TV and music set up are great!! The furniture in the living room is well loved and comfy and cozy! The fireplace is lovely. The Nowell house contains an eclectic and moving art collection. There are quaint and personal touches throughout the home. The walking trails are close by. The house is easily ten minutes from Gualala. I will highly recommend this home to all my friends and family!!

  The Sea Ranch is one of my family's favorite vacation spots to just be. This was my mother's first time and we wanted something extra special for her stay and rented the Nowell property. She was able to enjoy her stay with a wide blue water view, privacy, large bathroom, own television in her master suite which required no stairs. The location was great for walking trails and close to the bluff trail to get to our favorite beach, Walk-on. My kids loved the hot tub and all the wildlife right outside our door (rabbits, quails, deer, lizards and lots of rolly-pollies).

  The week was all we expected. Nowell is perfectly placed (unless your rental is right on the shore) to view the ocean and hear the waves crashing the shore. We relaxed by the fire, talked, walked, had good meals at local restaurants and made some of our own gourmet treats. It was exceptional not to have tourist type things in our face all the time. Kudo's to our son for recommending Sea Ranch and it was fun to have him with us the whole time. Rental was easy. Maybe a little pricey for Kentucky standards and our only concern was lack of a hair dryer. Having said that we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend Nowell to anyone.

  The house was perfect for our weekend getaway. The staff from the management company were extremely helpful and friendly. They made the renting experience incredibly easy. Overall, I have absolutely no complaints. Also, as is true for all houses at The Sea Ranch, the view was incredible. The house is between two wind breaks so you can sit on the deck to watch the ocean on a windy day and feel comfortable.

  Nowell is one of our favorite houses to rent from Beach Rentals. It's set back a little bit from the ocean, but there are no houses or trees or anything to block the view so from our window we were able to see an amazing ocean view and so many whales - so close to shore! There's a trail to the beach right down the road, the rec center is just down the street, it's close to Gualala - it's a very centrally located house.
  We love that the house has 3 master bedrooms, each with a king bed and it's own bathroom. The little couch upstairs pulls out to a bed as well. The downstairs bedroom has a nice tv. The tv in the living room is not that great, and in a really awkward spot for a group to watch a movie - but I guess one shouldn't be spending too much time watching tv anyhow :) The only real complaint we have about the house is the big leather couch in the living room is so uncomfortable.
  Beach Rentals is always so helpful and easy to talk to on the phone. I wish the cleaning charge wasn't mandatory as we don't mind cleaning on our way out and I feel the additional charge is steep.

  My friends and I loved the place the moment we stepped foot in the house. The tall ceilings give it a lodge-style feeling. All the rooms have a view to the ocean (one is floor to ceiling windows, another one has a balcony and one has a smaller window facing the ocean). I liked how each room had its own bathroom. The kitchen has a very long counter-top. It's conducive to cooking! The place is prettier than in the photos.

  Lovely house! Unhindered view of the ocean across a gorgeous meadow so this is a great spot for watching the sun or the moon transit across the sky, with a large downstairs deck for surf-watching. A big plus is all three bedrooms have big beds and their own baths, so this is a great house for two or more couples.

  We enjoyed our stay at Nowell immensely. The property was nearly perfect for our group. The dishwasher doesn't work well enough to avoid a handwashing--a drawback when cooking for six. We also had trouble with the TV--not with it functioning properly, but with the small size compared to the large room!

  Three couples shared this lovely house for 5 days in August. This house is great for couples because each bedroom has an en suite bathroom. Lovely open floor plan in the common areas overlooking a meadow and the ocean. Quiet location.

  Housekeeping issues:We wanted to let you know that the toaster is broken (there was a second one that works, however.) Also, the microwave is making a strange noise, we decided not to use it incase it was in danger of doing something electrically dangerous. No dust pan.
  Management:It seems things have changed recently and we are getting used to new personalities and methods. Something I would appreciate would be an update to our balance every time a payment is made(since we do this as tree separate couples, and throughout the year.)
