Unit 24 Lot 114: TOT ID# 1610. This cozy ocean front home features panoramic North Coast blue water views about 100 yards from the ocean bluff. Take your dog on a five-minute walk to Shell Beach or continue along the Bluff Trail to experience the unique Sea Ranch scenic views. This one bedroom, 1.5 bath well equipped home has a deck with hot tub to enjoy the beautiful ocean views. House allows a dog. Bed linens and towels are provided with this rental.

SEA RANCH AND SONOMA COUNTY GUIDELINES
Drones are strictly prohibited in The Sea Ranch.
Quiet hours must be observed between 9pm and 7am every day.
No outdoor amplified sound is allowed at any time day or night.
Dogs must be leashed and cannot be left unattended.
Maximum number of vehicles at house shall be 2 (two), with a 1 car garage available. No RV's.
Maximum occupancy is 2 for this home.

  We have been staying in a Sea Ranch rental over the past 20+ years. We have enjoyed the location and amenities of the Dacha House and it has been our go to rental for the past 8 years. However, this time the kitchen utensils and the home show a lot of wear. 1. There are no sharp knives to cut food and meat/poultry with. The knives there will not even slice a tomato. 2. There are no steak knives to cut our cooked chicken and steak with. 3. There are no BBQ utensils to BBQ our meat and chicken on the BBQ. 4. There are tumblers for wine, but only 2 mismatched stem wine glasses (that was disappointing).
  One thing we really do like about Dacha is the jacuzzi!

  So happy to enjoy a few days at The Sea Ranch, our happy place. Weather was beautiful and we were happy we could bring our dog. The house has an enclosed area for the dog which is great. We reported a problem with water leaking somewhere and Beach Rentals took care of it right away, tho it required us to be without water for a few hours. Great spot for wildlife and we especially enjoyed seeing a little fox hunting in the neighborhood.

  I had a great stay. This house has minimal decor, a comfortable king sized bed and lots of storage. The windows open for natural AC. The kitchen was well equipped for my needs and liked that the frig had water and ice dispensers. You will need to bring your own condiments and seasonings. The house is located very close to trails and in a few minutes you are at the bluffs or walking on a beautiful beach, which I loved.
  Dog owners - the house has a fenced yard (about 5 ft tall) and fenced passage from front door to garage, both good to secure larger dogs as well as small ones. The deck has a fence around it, maybe 2 feet tall at its lowest height. I supervised my dogs when they were out in the yard as there are some gaps under the fence (filled with pieces of firewood). The yard was large enough for the dogs to play and chase each other which was great. A large dog bed was provided plus a basket of towels with some dog biscuits, as well as other dog supplies. Even though I brought dog beds from home, my dogs loved the house dog bed.
  Minor cosmetic issues: There were smudges on the walls throughout the house at both dog and human level. There was peeling paint on a couple of the window sills and scratches on the walls under 2 windows from dog paws. The cover from the outdoor outlet on the deck was broken off and laying on the deck. Not much, but for the rental price I would not expect it.
  Minor inconveniences: Parking described as “driveway and garage”, but there was no garage access.
  There was no outdoor grill (per description) that I could see.
  There was only one towel rack in master bathroom at the tub. There was no place to hang towels near the sink or shower.
  Internet was out when I arrived, but that could happen anywhere.
  Not easy to read on the sofa because of the lighting location behind the sofa.

  We loved our stay here at Dacha house. I spent a lot of time reading out on thr deck with beautiful ocean views. The stove and range were recently upgraded and worked great. Miles and miles of hiking trails right out the door. One day I hiked to Gualala along the coast. It was 10 miles total. I was glad there was a hot tub on the deck. We uses that a few times. I wished there was a telescope. We saw several whale spouts during our time there in early April. We also wished for bigger tv’s. The wifi was awesome but the tv’s were very snall, and not a smart tv. The shower was also falling apart and the shower head was pretty bad just a few little streams of water coming out. Those are a couple things we would have changed if we owned the cabin. But it really was a magical awesome week!

  My husband and I (and dog) spent a long summer weekend at Dacha House. This is our third stay at Sea Ranch, and the best house yet. The layout is perfect for a couple's retreat, with one bedroom with master bath, a powder room, a kitchen/great room, laundry room, and a round back deck with hot tub at the center. The great room has a spacious and very comfortable leather sectional.
  
  Short walk to the bluffs, excellent ocean view from the great room, bedroom and hot tub. Dacha is a great house for dogs, too, with a completely fenced yard and courtesy items like a large dog bed and dedicated towel.
  
  A few minor (and very fixable) complaints make this a 4-star review instead of 5. The master bathroom needs a second towel bar and some hooks. The kitchen utensils with orange silicone handles leave gooey orange smudges on whatever they touch. And some of the wood finishes in various locations in the house are quite visibly worn and in need of refinishing.
  
  Even with those minor complaints, I would definitely stay at Dacha again.

  This is a great place for a couple and 2 dogs - it is a one bedroom but each room is large and master and living room/kitchen have unexpectedly great white water views over a large meadow. Loved the King bed and TV in bedroom too - missing from many vacation rentals recently. It is a little dated on the inside, but more like a cool beach house with nice furniture than an awful rental. The stove top needs to be replaced though (only two burners and neither of those worked well, both were crooked so pans cooked unevenly when the burners did work) -- pans also need to be updated for those that like to cook. It also needed mowing when we were there - not usually a concern but the weeds got all over our poor dogs so they couldn't use the fenced in side yard. Also wish the bed faced the gorgeous view. But we will return to this one. If the items above were fixed, we would give it 5 stars.

  4th visit to this house. The location is excellent because it is about 5 min walk to walk on beach, which is important if you have a choc. Lab who loves water and 7 min walk to the harbor seal rookery. You can observe harbor seals during pup season that starts around end of January. I did see several pregnant females!
  The resident hummingbird is still in the garden area and while it was quite Ra, my dog wasn’t able to get and sun baths in the great yard. The deer have returned and love to rest during the day in the yard next door. I didn’t see the fox this time around. Bed is comfy and hot tub is great. Stove is only a 2 burner but has grill... but who cooks on vacation? Wood stove really heats the house well!
  House is situated in quiet area with wide spanse of meadow and ocean views in bed and living area!
  I’m not good starting fires in wood stove especially without kindling, which I did go buy and did start a good fire going. The jennaire stove panel was hard for me to see as it doesn’t light up. My dog had a wonderful welcome bed. It was the rainy season and his paws got muddy. I felt bad that the dog towel was in white.... whew it was not white when we left... maybe a darker towel would be A better choice? But this place gets booked up quickly so I look forward to my 5th visit!

  Once again we had a lovely relaxing time at Sea Ranch. Each year we try to rent in a different location and/or house which allows us to have a slightly different experience. This year we rented Dacha - a one bedroom house which worked for the two of us. We were pleased with our choice.
  We couldn't have been more pleased with the property management staff. They handled everything for us - answered all questions - had all of the information needed readily available for us upon checking in.
  During our visit we ate out more than we had in the past. - had breakfast at the reopened Gualala Hotel - great food and atmosphere. The owner stopped at each table to welcome and express appreciation for coming in.
  Trinks Cafe is another choice for good food, coffees and a great staff.
  This year we also had lunch at Cove Azul - impressive menu and view!
  Another favorite is Cove Azul Bar & Grill for lunch/ dinner - they have an impressive menu, great staff and view.

  The Dacha is my go to home in Sea Ranch. The location is excellent because it is close to the Walk On Beach but the home also offers a 190 degree view of the ocean, even from the bed.
  My choc lab loves this home and practically lives out in the fenced yard catching some sun rays. The hummingbird continues to enjoy the flowers in the yard, which were in bloom this trip. The fox 🦊 made one appearance on the first day. This year the deer 🦌 in the back were limited. It seems that the bushes they liked to sleep under that are a few houses down, were cut down. So only a few grazers this year. The house was very clean and the bed very comfortable! See you in a few months!!

  This was our first time renting a house at Sea Ranch. The Sea Ranch Beach Rentals staff were very helpful and friendly. No issues checking in or out. The Dacha house was perfect size for two adults and one dog. The views from the house of the meadow and ocean are amazing and unobstructed. Natural light galore and with the windows open you can hear crashing waves all day/night long. Deer and one skunk grazed in the front yard throughout our stay.
  
  Very short distance to bluff trail where you can walk for miles in both directions. This house is also extremely close to Shell Beach. Neighbors are on both sides, but the house is very private. Hot tub and wood fire stove worked great. Kitchen is well-equipped but bring your own oils, spices, salt and pepper. The house was super clean and didn't smell of dog. Non-dog people would enjoy staying here. This house does need some updating. New furniture, new windows, updated bathroom would do wonders. Bed was extremely comfortable (used my own flannel sheets for November). Our little dog loved the fence enclosed back yard.

  The home is in a key location, less than 5 min walk to walk on beach. The ocean view is 180 degrees and can be seen from open living room area and bedroom. The open concept is modern and there is limited clutter, making the home very peaceful and calm. The rental company is great, attentive, and conscientious of any road or driving conditions. The rental company also sends timely communication and reminders. The rental company was flexible in any changes, like I was allowed to bring my own linens. The home was clean and well appointed with kitchen appliances and utinsels. The great surprise was the dog bed! I mean if u don't want the dog on furniture, provide the dog with his own bed!!! Perfect welcome note to my dog with a big towel an leash an biscuit!!!thanks for realizing my dog is family! The location of the home boasts of an in resident hummingbird that is not shy drinking the nectar all day while u sit and watch. The local deer freeway also runs behind the house! Of course not to mention the neighborhood fox that likes to take daily walks. The hot tub is oceanview and star gazing view! I couldn't have been happier!
