Unit 20, Lot 5: Stellar View is a beautifully renovated Sea Ranch home with panoramic bluewater views and a peaceful setting at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, offering a calm atmosphere comfortably removed from the busier parts of Sea Ranch. Originally built in 1972 and thoughtfully updated throughout, Stellar View features a fully equipped kitchen with new appliances, a private ocean-view hot tub, reliable ultrafast fiber internet, and welcoming spaces for reading, listening to music, movie nights, and quiet days and evenings at home.

Upstairs, the light-filled great room opens toward dramatic Pacific views, with warm redwood interiors, a wood-burning fireplace, and comfortable spaces to gather, read, or simply watch birds, whales, and the changing light over the ocean. A modern, fully equipped kitchen features a spacious island and everything needed for cooking and relaxed evenings at home.

Downstairs, two private king suites each include ensuite bathrooms for comfort and separation. A second living area — originally designed as an artist’s studio — has been transformed into a relaxed media lounge with a large-screen smart TV, ideal for movies, music, game days, or quiet evenings in.

Multiple furnished decks take full advantage of the home’s elevated setting, from morning coffee and whale watching to stargazing at night. The centerpiece is the private ocean-view hot tub, perched above the coastline and surrounded by the stillness that makes this part of Sea Ranch so distinctive.

  My boyfriend, his 10-year-old son, and I stayed at Stellar View during Spring Break in April, and it was truly a deluxe experience! The home was beautifully equipped, especially for those of us who love to cook-finding a rental with such a well-stocked kitchen is a rare treat. The home is spacious, comfortable and modern.
  
  The tech setup was seamless, making it easy to connect our music and enjoy shows and movies. The location was perfect-close to Sea Ranch Lodge, the iconic Chapel, and Shell Beach, where we were lucky enough to spot lots of adorable harbor seal pups. It's also just a scenic drive to incredible spots like Point Arena Lighthouse, Bowling Ball Beach, and B Bryan Preserve.
  
  The setting is peaceful and quiet. We saw wild turkeys, deer, and even bunnies right from the house! The view of the ocean and sunsets was breathtaking, and at night, the sky transformed into a planetarium-absolutely stunning.
  
  We would 100% stay here again. Highly recommend!

  We have stayed at other Sea Ranch homes in the past, and this stay was by far the best yet. Stellar View is sophisticated and modern yet incredibly cozy and comfortable. Everything you need is in this home and everything is immaculately clean and functional. We were able to walk to hiking trails from Stellar View also, and there is plenty to explore nearby. After a day of exploring, it was an absolute pleasure to return and watch the amazing sunset and gaze at the water from the deck of this beautiful home. We will stay here again and again knowing that the hosts have made everything comfortable, perfectly appointed, convenient, and absolutely perfect - directions were easy to follow, and tips for what to do and where to go were very helpful. Thank you for a wonderful and restorative get-away!

  Just what the doctor ordered. My Steller View experience had it all.
  
  As I pulled up to the little modern castle in the sky, I was greeted by the birdsong of early spring. The symphony of species were a soothing first welcome from the a busy and chaotic world, now far away from this verdant California paradise. The daffodils and Cala Lillies, welcomed before I stepped inside. The range of weather experience had it all. Chilly bright sunshine made its way through the fog for my strolls along the nearby tree lined trails, warming up enough for shirtsleeves as I gazed through the canopy to silver, orange, lavender skies at sunrise and sunset. Just down the hill a short drive to the beach strolls where the tide pools full of vibrant seagreen and pink enemonies also had adorable families of seals dotting the nearby waves. A quick stop for a lovely cup of tea at the nearby lodge by the fire while watching the epic nature swirl outside in views like paintings.
  
  The Stellar View house boasts all you could ask for. From the incredibly appointed chef’s kitchen (stocked with all the tools you could dream of). This allowed for preparing delicious feasts during my retreat. With speakers throughout the house you could hear your music, podcasts, etc from any location with a simple request to Siri. There are both telescope and binoculars to keep you busy gazing at all that the stellar views have to offer, day and night, from any of the 4 decks surrounding the house on both levels. Hawks, flocks of wild turkeys, ravens, stellar jays and a variety of smaller native birds keep you company as the fire crackles in the wood stove upstairs.
  
  Watch a movie, read a book, play a game chosen from the copious options provided. Strong WiFi enables you to work from this remote and peaceful place should you have to (I did, but not much). It’s better to embrace the salve of peaceful observation of the show that nature serves up during your stay. I&#x20

  This is a truly stellar home, and we can’t wait to come back. It’s appointed in the most beautiful, thoughtful, and comfortable ways, and was spotless upon our arrival.
  The 2nd floor space is so cool because there are open kitchen, dining, and living areas and decks off of each. You get ocean and forest views all around. In the evenings before bed, we had so much fun playing the many, many games there were to choose from.
  The 1st floor is quite large. Both bedrooms are lovely. The bed was so comfortable, with cozy sheets and blankets, and we slept so well with the peace and quiet. We enjoyed a movie night in the 1st floor family room one night.
  We really appreciated the house being a dog-friendly rental. Especially because Sea Ranch is such an outdoorsy dog-friendly place. We took many hikes on the trails, cliffs, and beaches nearby.
  The house location was very easy to find and access, closer to the south end of Sea Ranch. It was very convenient to visit the Lodge, the Chapel, and the town of Gualala. We especially liked Twofish Baking and the Seafood Shack.
  It was just the two of us for a couples weekend, but we would love to come back with another couple or small group of friends. The house has plenty of space for people to be comfortable, enjoy a group dinner, grill on the deck, and play games.

  We’ve stayed at nearly a dozen properties in the Sea Ranch area, and this was by far the best.
  
  The instructions for getting into the house were very clear. And from the moment we arrived inside, all three of us felt instantly at home. The owners clearly put a lot of care into creating a fresh and inviting living space bent on comfort and relaxation, down to thoughtful touches like living plants in every room, a telescope and binoculars for spotting sea life, and a rock n’ roll theme with some great show posters.
  
  We prefer the east side location up the hill from Hwy 1 because it’s quiet and more private than the meadow/oceanside places we’ve stayed. Great wildlife spotting, too – deer, turkeys, and an eagle.
  
  The property is tech-savvy, with QR codes throughout the house to easily connect to reliable fiber WiFi, and there are smart speakers for guests to use.
  
  We took advantage of all of the amenities: fireplace, downstairs TV (karaoke party!), deck grill (both nights), and a gorgeous modern kitchen stocked with spices, oil, tea, coffee and everything you need to put a meal on the table. There are lots of cushy places to sit, a spacious kitchen table, decks galore — and a reading nook! Also, books and games (Golden Girls Clue, anyone?), plenty to watch, and a helpful welcome handbook to guide you through the house and nearby businesses.
  
  There’s no hot tub here, and while we love a soak, we didn’t actually miss it.
  
  Some minor drawbacks but not dealbreakers: The showers are a bit dated (but stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash. Good water pressure). For a property with a wine fridge (!) it would be nice to have more stemmed glasses and maybe a decanter. Ditto a few more large pans and platters for cooking and entertaining for a gathering. Nice to have, but not a real issue.
  
  We will absolutely stay here again. Already dreaming of our next visit!

  The Stellar View house is an absolute delight. The downstairs bedrooms and entertainment area have the cozy feel of a family vacation home and the upstairs - wow! The open floor plan, with access to decks on all sides, makes you feel like you're living in a tree house. There are gorgeous sunsets over the ocean, the sound of crashing waves, and on the inside: an amazing kitchen, charming fireplace, and plenty of areas for playing games, cooking together, or having drinks. Arriving was effortless, with great communication all around, and the owners have thought of everything, making it incredibly easy to access music, movies, the internet, etc. Most of all - you get to be at Sea Ranch! We had amazing experiences with tidepools at the nearby coast, hiking in the redwoods two minutes from the house, and gazing at the stunning starry skies right outside our door. On Friday evening I walked to the nearest watering hole, a wine bar about 10 minutes away, and even heard some wonderful live music! This place is a lovely jumping off point for exploring this magical stretch of the Sonoma Coast.
