Situated on the bluff just steps from beautiful Shell Beach, the home offers privacy and the rare combination of ocean front and meadow views. An open floor plan, large picture windows & numerous skylights create abundant natural light. Bed linens and towels included.

The cozy living room includes a wood stove and plush seating. The modern kitchen is well equipped. The master bedroom includes a gas fireplace. The master bedroom does NOT have a bedroom door. The second bedroom overlooks the meadow and features a queen bed and a large sliding glass door which opens onto the deck. The family room opens onto the private garden and includes a queen sleeper sofa and big screen TV.

  My husband and I have been coming to Sea Ranch for nearly a decade but this was our first stay at Sunnyside. It will certainly not be our last! We loved the house itself - the layout suited our needs, the house was clean and well appointed, the views are amazing, there's great trail access and the location is perfect. My husband enjoyed the hot tub and I loved having my morning tea at the little table overlooking the ocean. We can't wait until our next visit!

  Sunnyside is a stunning house with some really nice features. The “star window” above the primary bed, the primary bedroom fireplace, the gorgeous floors, countertops, and showers are all incredible. The views are incredible as are the sunsets. I wish we didn’t have to go to Gualala to get and drop off keys; lock boxes on the houses would be a great addition. That’s a very minor issue. I couldn’t recommend this house more. Loved it.

  My family and I had such an exceptionally fine time in your house--it could not have been better, nor could the house have been more comfortable, more beautifully outfitted, designed, or maintained or located more happily by the ocean and meadow. We were able to walk to see the harbor seals hauled out on their beach nearby as well as walk to what we called "the Hobbit Forest" also nearby. Absolutely everything anyone could possibly want was available in the Sunnyside house. Each of us had a favorite: one of us the little porch tucked down on the side of the house, another it was the bar seating overlooking the view, another were the two showers and the hot tub. My best favorite, a surprise, was the star viewing window located directly over the bed in the large bedroom--I was blown away by being able to see into space from the comfort of my bed. To answer your questions: yes, the description of the property was accurate--better than accurate! Yes, the property was immaculately clean and maintained. Yes, the customer service was fine. And absolutely yes, we would recommend the property to a friend, relative, anyone at all who enjoys the ocean and comfort. (Who wouldn't) P. S. I particularly appreciated the instructions left for our use of machines, TV, et al. You always think you know how to operate a coffee maker, say, until you find one you are not familiar with--so thanks for the helps.

  We had a wonderful week at Sunnyside. The house is beautiful, well appointed, and in the perfect location. The architecture and design of the home is so interesting and thoughtful and also very warm and welcoming. One thing to be aware of is that sound travels throughout the whole house very easily. We worked this out by having our kids watch their shows in the downstairs rec room, which worked out perfectly. We cannot wait to return to this wonderful home!

  We always rent from Beach Rentals and have never been disappointed. Sunnyside has a great location with plenty of room to read, play games or just relax. It's well furnished with comfortable beds & pillows. The views are fantastic and you can hear the waves crashing. Easy to access the walking paths and near accessible beaches and Seal sanctuary.

  Calm and relaxing and tranquil. The house itself was very nice but there was no mention of the number of steps it takes to navigate the house. Also no mention that the master bedroom has NO door and is open to the great room. The hot tub is very small and crowded in on a small deck so hard to get in and out. Generally a nice place to stay.

  This was a very nice house in a great location -- near to the beach. I especially appreciated the well-appointed kitchen. The furniture, including the bed in the master bedroom, was very comfortable. The only slightly negative thing about the house is that the master suite is not separated from the rest of the house by a complete wall, just a high partition. For a couple or for a family with small children this would not be an issue. It might be a problem for two couples, however, since conversation in one part of house is quite audible from the other part.

  Wonderful stay for my family. This is a great location. We particularly enjoyed the wildlife that almost came to our door jack rabbits, deer, and quail. We also spotted some whales, and enjoyed watching the seals. I had two minor complaints. The coffee maker should be replaced, and some of the burners on the gas bbq weren't working.

  After renting numerous homes for the last 40 years at Sea Ranch I found this to be an excellent location and definitely a new favorite . It was very unique as described , one side of the house had a meadow view and one side had an ocean view. Very comfortable beds, it was spotless and was not missing a thing ! Even the linens seemed above average at this location. Abundant wildlife, deer, jackrabbits, and even a fox were spotted. The trail along the coast holds special sunset views and nice tidepools to explore and visit the sea lion preserves . Had not visited in June before and the weather did not disappoint. The Surf Supermarket had any grocery item you could possibly need . Would recommend any visitor taking a trip to the wildlife safari a short distance away in Point Arena and be sure to visit the Gualala Seafood Shack and Noma and Henley's for a special gift. Cannot wait to return !

  My husband, 1 year old and I had a wonderful week-long stay at Sunnyside. It's perfectly located, only a few minutes from Shell Beach (but does not feel 'busy' at ALL), about a 5 minute walk to the playground, and Walk On Beach is also not too far. I walked miles of the trails while there and am convinced it's truly the perfect Sea Ranch location. The house itself is beautiful, and in addition to the 2 bedrooms has a newer den space which can also be used as a bedroom. The hot tub space is a zen retreat, I loved sitting by the tub reading in the sun and watching the stars at night. The views from the windows in the kitchen and master bedroom in particular are stunning. The kitchen is very well stocked, had everything we needed, and grocery stores are close by. I also found the house to be very very clean, especially important right now. Internet worked perfectly, as did the Hulu/Netflix on the TV. No complaints or issues. We will be back!

  We had a wonderful time at Sunnyside! We stayed in this home with my parents and two young kids (3 & 5). The house is stunning, with wonderful views from each space. It’s stocked with everything you could need - cooking accessories, puzzles, games, books, movies, they’ve got it all. Short walk to the beach. We saw so much wildlife just outside the window: adolescent mountain lion!, tons of dear, foxes, kestrels and many other birds. The hot tub does not have a view of the ocean, but sits in a lovely private courtyard garden. Management was very responsive. We would love to come again!

  The kitchen range burner flames are not adjustable on the front two burners, they only operate at high. There is not a dish rack on the counter to place drying dishes. The screen is missing in the large bedroom window and the smaller bedroom window is broken. Given these issues and in comparison to other ocean front/bluff properties we have stayed at, such as Arch Rock and Tre Sorelle we feel this property is WAY overpriced. Should be aprox $1200 less. While Sea Ranch was beautiful and our stay was nice, we are very disappointed in our overall experience at Sunnyside.
