Guests can sit back to be immersed in the serenity of the sea and the beauty of Black Point Beach. There are stunning ocean views from all common living areas and a large ocean front, south facing deck.

This updated, dog friendly, 2 story house accommodates up to 3 couples with 3 queen bedrooms and 2 full baths on the main level. Upstairs you will find a bunk loft for kids (max 8 guests). The primary bedroom also has ocean views, an en suite barn door bathroom and French doors to a small ocean front deck. Vaulted cedar ceilings throughout, with a well-appointed kitchen and a cozy wood burning fireplace in the living room. There is no need to worry about your dog in this pet friendly home. The enclosed courtyard with hot tub takes care of that.

  For our 21st annual get-together, we chose Sea Ranch instead of the Tahoe area. Our usual group of 8-9 former workmates (ages 73-80) was reduced to 6 for a variety of reasons. The Point-of-View property was perfect for our group. Location was spectacular and house easily met our needs.

  Just returned from wonderful stay with six others and dog at Point of View. Loved being so close to the ocean, good set up for larger group, wonderful to have closed in yard for dog and children. It was very warm (for Sea Ranch) during our stay and it made the upstairs loft extremely warm. The one window in the loft was hard to open. Need more portable fans for future possible heat waves.

  We enjoyed our 4-night stay in this very welcoming property right on the water with a great beach view. Our young children loved their bunk room
  and the enclosed outdoor garden with shower, play area and hot tub. Our labrador felt safe and perfectly happy too. We have rebooked for next year, as we decided this was the best home for our family needs (grandparents, adult children, grandchildren and pup.)
  The only item needing attention is the replacement of two large fogged view windows in living room. Thank you!

  We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this home. The views from this home are incredible with an unencumbered view of Black Point Beach. Plenty of places to sit either inside or outside to soak in the view. The kitchen is fully stocked and the dining table is perfect for a large group. The beds were comfortable and the spa was great!   The view was spectacular! The oversized dining table was great for our needs: one part for meals, one part for games, one part for jigsaw puzzle. Management staff was very helpful when we needed more supplies to last our stay. Also very helpful and professional in making reservations and inquiries. The unit wasn't as clean as we expected. Some pots and pans were dirty, as well as some glassware and a few plates. Table had not be cleaned thoroughly. Debris in the chair that reclines. The bathrooms are very dated and not in good condition. It would be an improvement to have at least one king size bed in the master. Many of the windows appear to have blown seals, hampering the view. The blackout shades were great.

    6/30/23 We are so happy you enjoyed Point of View. The white water view is spectacular! The oversized dining table is a great addition. The Beach Rentals cleaning standards were not met. Please call Beach Rentals when you find cleaning problems. Unfortunately the bedrooms at Point of View do not allow for a king size bed.   Overall this is a wonderful home
  On the upside:
  -First row bluff front location and great views over the expansive beach
  -Awesome large hot tub that has enough horsepower to actually give you a water massage
  -Nice enclosed area for a pooch, which was overflowing with Cala lilies when we were there.
  
  Minuses:
  -The garage was not available - would have been nice to have kept the car out of the sea spray
  -The bed in the main bedroom wasn’t particularly comfortable - the metal rod headboard made it impractical to sit up and read.

  So relaxing to hear and see the ocean from both inside the house and on the deck. The view from this house is amazing. One window, however, had moisture inside the panes and was difficult to see out of.
  Because of the wet weather, we were not able to enjoy as much of the trail walks as we have before.
  We appreciate that this location allows pets. This time we were not left with sheets to cover the furniture or dog specific towels as were provided in the past. Luckily, we brought our own.
  Master bathroom cabinet had some odor otherwise the rest of the house was well kept and clean.

  My husband of 50 years died recently. We loved Sea Ranch but hadn't been in many years because of his illness. We've been visiting for 30 years. It was my first birthday without him on Valentines Day so I invited gal friends to join me. The home is perfect in every way. We had a good time. Of course I missed my husband but felt his presence and scattered some of his ashes in the beautiful pacific.Enjoyed dinner at the lodge too

  Love the view..fabulous as advertised. House was well laid out and kitchen was well stocked. We did notice a bad smell on one side of the house (dead critter underneath??) Also, the raccoon warning should be more prominent...they were there every night, prying and ripping window screens trying to get in!

  Beautiful views from the windows and deck made this a great vacation rental choice. The kitchen is well-equipped and the outside dining area is sheltered by a windbreak that still allows you to check out the iews. The interiror courtyard landscapping is much improved and is quite pretty. It's a dog friendly home, so be prepared for dog hair everywhere, even upon your arrival. And the window screen is torn, so there will be a few flies in the house as well.

  We have been vacationing at Sea Ranch for the past 20 years and 'Point of View' is one of our favorite homes. The home location is spectacular with the best views, but what really impressed us was the layout of the house and garden area to take in those gorgeous views. Excellent! The owners allowed us to bring our dog and she had a wonderful time and never wandered - just sat on the deck stairs looking at the ocean, birds and people strolling the bluff trail. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need to cook. Hot tub is nicely situated in the court yard. The last night, raccoons bit through a screen and ate some bread left on the counter and made a mess of our trash - so be sure to close windows at night. Other than that - our family stay at this lovely home was perfect.

  The view was spectacular, the central living area was very nice, clean, neat, well-appointed kitchen. We loved the large dining table - for three of us we used one end for meals, the middle for games, and the other end for a puzzle. Great use of space and highly functional. Need more lids for pots and consider replacing some frying pans. Loved the electric tea kettle. Refrigerator space was wonderful. Nicely provided were some spices and kitchen basics. The qeen beds were smaller than expected, though comfortable.Some minimal updating work in the bathrooms could really brighted them up.Nice furnishings, comfortable, and the outside Adirondack furnishings outside were comfortable, the grill was very nice and clean We would gladly stay here again. The Sea Ranch Lodge should be open for cocktails in the afternoon to enjoy their updated setting.

  Excellent Location and great ocean view, even has an ocean view from the hot tub. Our grandkids appreciated the collection of children's books and games. Well-stocked kitchen. The master bedroom has a nice view and bath, but the other bedrooms share a very small basic bathroom, with just one small sink and a small plastic shower stall.

  The wonder of being above and looking down the length of Black point Beach from our Point of View deck was breathtaking and something to behold and cherish for memories of a fantastic family get-together enjoyed by all! Prime was the location, then came the fully equipped home with beautiful furnishings, great kitchen and outdoor barbecue and all the amenities. Our two young adults enjoyed the comfort of their bunk beds in the loft! We enjoyed delicious dinners, taking turns at recipes and we had great gourmet dinners with no left-overs. Hmm, so good now that I think back on it. And the wonderful hiking trail that trails right past the Point of View. How fantastic to walk out the door of your home to walk upon the trail. The trails are such a beautiful walk in themselves. Great home, great location. We highly recommend to our Sea Ranch go-to-hers! Dog friendly too! My yellow lab Berkeley loved it!

  We have been vacationing in Sea Ranch for close to 30 years. Over that time we have rented a number of different homes, but Point of View had one of the best views we've ever had. With south and west views, we had beautiful morning light and gorgeous sunsets. The home was well-appointed, clean, and has plenty of space to sit and enjoy the view. The bedrooms and bathrooms are cozy, but queen beds and bedding were very comfortable. The home is right off the bluff trail, but the view is so pretty that most folk's attention is towards the ocean. We had a little hiccup with the heating, but the rental agency did a great job of remedying it quickly and checking back to make sure all was well after the fact. We would love to stay here again some time in the future

  This house was in a wonderful location with 180 degree views of white water. Great walking path in front that our two dogs loved, and an enclosed patio so we could let the dogs out on their own. The house was well decorated and appointed except for streaming TV only, no dish. But, we would rent this gorgeous house again.
