Tucked back from the bluff, a wildlife-filled meadow is all that separates you from the spectacular Pacific Ocean. Watch the waves crash in the distance from the sunny window seat where expansive picture windows highlight an ever-changing view. Hawks, pelicans, blue herons and migratory birds abound; deer, turkey and fox wander through the picturesque meadow; and seasonal migrating whales offshore. Enjoy sunset cocktails from the lower ocean view deck or sunbathe on the sheltered south-facing deck with private hot tub.

The Pebble Beach Hideaway is a reversed floor plan that captures the essence of The Sea Ranch with its warm redwood and vertical grain fir interior while also offering a clean-lined, contemporary feel. Upstairs embrace the view, read a book, play board games or sneak a nap from the window seat which snuggles the wrap-around wood fireplace. Play your favorite music collection on the stereo with CD/IPOD dock or enjoy Satellite TV with access to Netflix, and Amazon Prime, free WIFI, and assortment of games, puzzles, blankets and throws for your enjoyment. You can even play a game of horseshoes in your own horseshoe pit!

The kitchen is open to the living area and is fully stocked with the cook in mind: quality cookware and chef’s knives, a variety of wine/bar glasses and serving dishes, an assortment of spices, an outdoor grill, a professional burr coffee grinder and an array of coffee making equipment.

This intimate 1400 square foot home offers sleeping for four in two bedrooms on entry level, each with a private en-suite bath and ocean views. Equipped with either a Cal King European Sleep Works mattress or a Queen Tempur-Pedic mattress, each room is equally outfitted with cozy comforters and an assortment of fluffy pillows. The upper den and adjacent half bath can accommodate overflow sleeping upon request.

While you may never want to leave the Pebble Beach Hideaway, you’re just steps from the private bluff trail and numerous beaches. Adventurous souls will no doubt discover “Secret Beach”, a mere 500 feet from the house, while others will prefer the 5-minute walk to desirable Pebble Beach. A bit further north lies one of the most intimate, protected beaches in Sea Ranch – Smugglers Cove. (The wind can be howling, and you’d never know it at this sweet little spot!) A 15-minute walk takes you to the Ohlson Rec Center offering swimming, tennis, basketball, volleyball and saunas. In the evening, a 30-minute walk south on the bluff trail will rev up your appetite for dinner at Sea Ranch Lodge…one of our guests’ favorite evening activities. BED LINENS AND TOWELS ARE NOT PROVIDED WITH THIS RENTAL.

  We really loved our 8-night stay at Pebble Beach Hideaway.
  
  Pros:
  
  Location was perfect. A few minute walk to the Bluff Trail for hiking (which we did a ton of!), a 30-minute walk to the Sea Ranch Lodge for coffee, drinks and meals, plus yoga on Saturday mornings (we love it there!), secluded at the end of a cul de sac, and situated in a way that makes it private in relation to neighboring homes.
  
  The home set up worked well for us. We are a couple so only used one downstairs bedroom (one with the sliders to the deck), but enjoyed having two full bathrooms on that floor. There's also a half bath on the living floor. The living room, dining room, kitchen open floor plan makes for beautiful views! Loved watching deer and wild turkey in the meadow, amazing sunsets, waves crashing, and changing sea views. Kitchen was well equipped! Can't think of anything it was missing.
  
  Living room has cozy chairs that DO move easily. They are on casters so you just gently swivel them to watch TV or look at ocean. Fireplace worked great and we were glad to have it when we lost power for 12 hours during a storm! We stayed nice and warm. The room heaters work great as do the electric heaters on the bed!! Such a cool feature.
  
  The window seat is the best spot in the house! We spent hours there reading and enjoying the views. We also loved the den/office as it had nice tree views. The huge window on the staircase landing makes you feel like you are outside.
  
  Hot tub worked great!
  
  House was clean and tidy, and there were many extras included, which we really appreciated.
  
  Cons:
  
  The house was a little dated. You can see some wear and tear, like the runner under the dining room table is fraying on the edges and should be replaced because we almost tripped on it a few times. Bathrooms could use an upgrade. We rented linens and towels from the rental company.

  We stayed at the Hideaway last year with another couple. It was so nice we did it again this spring. The house is spotless, in an excellent location for walking along the cliffs, is very private, and the kitchen is well stocked. It is a perfect house for four people to relax and look at the ocean, or go hiking. At all times of the day and night, there is no noise as the house sits by itself.

  Wonderful big windows with great views of the ocean, field and trees. The interior decor added to the peaceful feel. All the amenities we needed and everything in great shape and very clean. Outdoor hot tub was very nice. Enjoyed watching deer, turkeys and other birds right outside. Plenty of space and fast internet for a couple unavoidable work meetings. Close to the trails, but felt very private. Enjoyed walks to the beaches and along the cliffs. Drove to Gualala and had two great meals at Cove Azul Bar & Grill. We'd definitely enjoy coming back some time!

  We always love visiting Sea Ranch, and we had excellent weather in Mid March. This property has a reverse plan, kitchen and living room upstairs, which takes advantage of the view in common areas. (Our one complaint on that score, was the windows were a bit dirty. As light rains are likely to cause that, an extendable window wiper might be nice to have on hand.) That being said the view is still wonderful.
  
  The hot tub was clean and easy to use. The main chairs in the living room weren’t comfortable for our back issues (very soft/sunken). but the beds were comfortable and the small deck downstairs was a lovely place to take in the view. The house is very close to a trail spur and lovely walks north or south.

  The Hideaway was perfect for two couples for four days. We wished we had booked five days. The pictures and description of the house are accurate. The kitchen is completely stocked with cookware, cooking and eating utensils, lots of dishware, etc. Bring your own special spices if you intend to cook, and tissues. The gas grill and spa worked perfectly. You'll never be cold with the room heaters. Everything about the house is practical. The house is in an excellent location - 3 minute walk to the ocean path, complete privacy and zero noise. The Gualala Surf Market is an upscale grocery store that has any food you could want. Point Arena Lighthouse north of Gualala is worth the 30 minute drive. All in all, the house is perfect for relaxing and just staring out the window at the sea or playing games with your favorite beverage, while also being a great base for outdoor activities, such as hiking, wine tasting, the Lighthouse, horseback riding. The four of us intend to make it an annual trip.

  Myself and a friend celebrated being fully vaccinated with this trip to Sea Ranch! It was wonderfully quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the views and sounds of the ocean and took walks north and south on the bluffs. It was mostly gloriously sunny during our stay with just one morning of fog. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals except for one evening when we ate at the wonderful restaurant at Timber Cove. My friend really enjoyed the hot-tub and meditation/yoga room whilst I enjoyed reading on the window seat overlooking the ocean.

  My husband and I stayed at Pebble Beach Hideaway for 6 nights. We only intended to stay for three but we fell in love and didn't want to leave. I have a picture of the window seat and view as a home screen on my phone.
  
  The home has a beautiful view of a meadow and crashing waves. we watched birds and animals from our perch in the perfect window seat. We went for long walks, read, cooked up a storm, listened to music and enjoyed watching the stars in the hot tub
  
  I am a big cook and the house is so well appointed that we started to play a game to see what it didn't have. Asparagus forks were all we came up with. The new stove was fantastic.
  
  The hot tub is perfectly located, you have privacy and yet can see the stars. There is even an outdoor grill.
  
  This feels like a home and is so well set up for long stays. The king bed is so comfortable with plenty of pillows. There is even a room I used as an office with the comfiest reading chair that I am now trawling craigslist for.
  
  Sea Ranch is a very special place and the pebble beach hideaway is the perfect place to experience that.

  We've stayed here twice. the window seating is perfect for coffee and conversations, playing games, reading, napping and sea gazing. There is separation space with the private study. The hot tub is private and the kitchen is simple and functional. Only disappointment is that the beds are so different, one firm and one too soft (I slept on the window seating upstairs).   Quiet romantic getway. Stayed here with my husband for our 20th anniversary. It was absolutely perfect. The house has a great view from both the bedrooms as well as upstairs. Incredibly clean, felt extremely comfortable walking around barefoot. Outside is well taken care of. Hot tub was well, clean and hot. We will definitely be staying here again.

  Pebble Beach Hideaway is a wonderful older house. It's in a private location that is still very close to the Bluff Trail. The two bedrooms are downstairs, with the open living/dining area upstairs. We love the long window seat overlooking the ocean. The house is small enough to feel cozy, and the openness of the upstairs feels airy. We stayed there twice, a week each time, this summer and plan to rent it in the future. It was extremely clean, the rental agency was very helpful. My only caveat is that their coffee makers are sub-par, at least by SF standards. It would be very easy for the owners to upgrade them.

We loved this house--it was cozy and spacious, with a long window seat as part of the open living/dining/ kitchen upstairs area; the view is great; it feels very private; and the closeness to the Bluff Trail was a plus There is also a small, private den upstairs. The two bedrooms are downstairs, both look onto the ocean. THe beds are VERY COMFORTABLE. The only criticism I is regarding the old stove that is a little hard to operate (the electric burners are especially difficult to control) and should be replaced.

  This was our third stay at Sea Ranch and our best home yet. The people at the rental agency were very friendly and helpful and everything we needed was there when we got to the house. The only problem we had was we couldn't get the fireplace to work very well, but it was really warm so not an issue.
  
  The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms were clean, and the kitchen was well stocked. My daughter sat in the windowseat and read books all week long. It was perfect.
  
  The home is very near the trail and you can see the sunset right out the second floor windows.
  
  I hope you will enjoy it as much as we did.

  Lovely 3 night stay at Pebble Beach Hideaway with another couple. The location is great. The house was clean and organized. Enjoyed the hot tub under the stars, walking along the bluff, sitting by the fire and cooking together. Perfect getaway!

  We loved staying in this home. Felt secluded and quiet with a nice view of the ocean. As someone else noted, the 2 bedrooms downstairs do not have much separation for noise. HOt tub was great. Internet was not working when we arrived and was not repaired until 3 days later--I guess no one bothered over the weekend. Julia in the rental office was very professional and helpful.

  Had never been to Sea Ranch and it was a great experience for my daughter, her boyfriend and myself. Beach Rentals were very helpful throughout the entire process. The online photos and info were spot on - the house was extremely well appointed and the views of the roaring surf were great. Despite the cool and rainy weather that is typical this time of year, we thoroughly enjoyed the walks along the rocky coastline and the walks through the red wood forest at the Hot Spot on the east side of Rt 1. Nature was abundant with seals, deer, and hawks. Wish I had known about the area when I lived in Northern California 30 years ago. Highly recommend a visit here during any time of the year.

  One of the most relaxing vacations ever! Weather was made to order, house was located in an awesome place, and everything worked just great! The floor plan in this house really worked well and the views are incredible. The variety of beach and bluff trails are amazing.   Our vacation at Pebble Beach Hideaway was truly wonderful. The house is a cosy sanctuary that is very well equipped for a holiday home and spotlessly clean.
  25 minute walk to the Lodge for lunch or dinner, whale watching, reading, lots of sleeping and napping! Biking, more walking, sunshine and beaches.

  We have been renting in Sea Ranch for many years, and this house did not disappoint. The 2 bedroom suites are on the first floor (both have full baths, 1 with just a shower) and the living/dining room, kitchen, "den", and half bath are upstairs. The space was just right for 2 people, but I could see it accommodating 2 couples or a family with children very nicely. The house is just steps away from the trail, with lovely views of the ocean, meadows and trees from the wraparound upstairs windows. The kitchen is well equipped (love the appliance garages!) and the home was very clean. There are 2 very nice decks, one that is private with the hot tub, and the other is big with views of the ocean. A bonus was the enclosed courtyard where you drive in, which would be perfect if the owners allowed dogs (maybe they'll reconsider at some point). Overall, it was a lovely, tranquil setting for some much needed R&R.

  Restful, wonderful home, secluded, quiet, and easy 2 minute access to the bluff trail. Could be okay for four people, as long as you can enjoy each other in a compact setting. Hot tub is exceptional, private exterior enclosure, with an incredible view of the stars at night. Well stocked kitchen. Extremely comfortable beds. Easy/beautiful walk along the bluff trail to the lodge for meals. Had a gray fox visitor two days, occasional deer in the distance. Incredible 18 hole experience on the Sea Ranch Links. Loved the basic amenities of Gualala, just about a 15 min drive north. Favorite meals: St. Orres, Trinks, Black Point Grill at Sea Ranch Lodge, Two Fish Bakery (a must visit!), take home ribs from Surf Market - wow!!!Beach Rental on line reservation and in person staff were great! We hope to return some day!

  Great property and extremely relaxing stay. This house had all the amenities we needed for a laid back Memorial Day weekend. Gorgeous views and easy access to hiking. Highly recommended.
  
  Only downside was as late arrivals having to drive up to Gualala to pick up our keys at the office at midnight. Would have been nice if there was a lockbox with code at the house so we didn't need to drive the extra 20-30 minutes up and back.

Obviously the owners have taken great care to furnish the home with care and there are so many extras which enhanced our stay.   First must say the property was extremely clean and well organized. The location was perfect. One thing we appreciated was that the owner/manager of the home leaves the little things you will need in a kitchen, i.e.: olive oil, spices etc.... There's nothing worse than having to stock a house with the little things like that when your only going to spend a few days there. The owners book had all the information we needed and was very easy to understand, like operating the stereo and wifi etc... Since this is a review of the property only, I'll have to save my love for the Sea Ranch area for another review :)

  Quiet, romantic, and really hidden, we were so hidden we got to see a BOBCAT. Hottub star filled nights and moody ocean days with treasures all over the beaches....Lovely and wonderful stay!
  House details: Good knives! excellent kitchen set up to do almost anything. That being said: electric stove makes cooking meh-but carefully chosen cookware makes it tolerable ;)
  Cozy interior that discourages watching the boob tube and encourages watching fires and sunsets. Could use better daytime sunny day ventilation (maybe a fan?) due to layout of house.
  Hot tub is pristine.
  Plenty of outdoor spots to sit.
  Easy rocky coast beach access.
  Decent reading library.
  Decent speakers for music with headphone jack to make it easy to play anything.

  We had never been to Sea Ranch and this far exceeded our expectations. This was perfect! The home was beautiful with gorgeous views of the ocean and trails to get on right outside the home. We saw deer every day right outside our window and all sorts of
